Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad city is the first UNESCO world heritage city in India. ‘Ahmedabad’ named after Sultan Ahmed Shah, is located on the banks of the River Sabarmati. The city is associated with Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Nation.

The city was popularly known as ‘Manchester of the East’ for its textile industry. Ahmedabad is 2nd prosperous city with its commerical importance in western India.
